Bah, with it being over a month since the last fic update, I thought I owed a bit of an explanation of whatapos;s happening in my life. In short, Iapos;m in a bit of an upheaval. Iapos;ve been unemployed for almost seven months, and with the way the economy is going, I donapos;t foresee any reasonable chance of getting a job for a lot longer. Which has led me to the hard decision that my career choice as a chemist hasnapos;t done me any favors and I should probably look in another direction. Thus far, anytime Iapos;ve looked for a job in chemistry, Iapos;ve had 6+ months of sitting around before something happens. And then, when I look at past coworkers, everyone knows each other because every five years or so, they tend to get laid off or, more rarely, quit for one reason or another. That is just too unstable for me.
So, Iapos;m going back to school starting at the end of this month for yet another degree (I have a bachelors and a masters), but this one should have a lot more opportunities for work compared to science. Yes, Iapos;m preparing myself to be a boring, everyday accountant. Truthfully, Iapos;m not worried about the boring part since itapos;s not like much will change compared to me being in a lab and running the same old samples day in and day out. I just hate school, especially when itapos;s led me to this point of nothingness and starting over. Bleh.
What does this mean for updates? I donapos;t know. I started writing back during my undergraduate years, so I donapos;t think itapos;ll affect me too much. Right now, itapos;s more of a mental thing where Iapos;m frustrated and donapos;t want to do anything productive. Iapos;ll get over the funk soon enough and finish up the GR:NP chapter before the end of the month. All of you are so patient and wonderful, so Iapos;m not worried there, but I wanted to explain what Iapos;m up to before I started getting the pokes about what is happening. ^^;
